SERVICES​​

As a literacy intervention therapist, my goal is to teach students to overcome processing difficulties that often present as roadblocks to learning in a standard classroom setting.  Through research-based, structured literacy approaches, students are guided to process the written word.

​As this work is designed to create new neural pathways in the brain, consistent, regular repetition is essential to solidify these connections.  The parent(s) are educated along with the student as practice is required between sessions to reinforce new techniques and ensure progress in the program.  In order to provide the best continuity for students, I utilize remote sessions.

• Both classroom learners and homeschoolers
• ​Remote learning, I have had clients from all around the USA as well as from other countries. 
• ​Twice exceptional learners​
• Students who have difficulty with reading, spelling, and writing mechanics
• Students who struggle with reading accuracy, fluency and comprehension
• Students who need support with phonological awareness

Remote Literacy Therapy

One on one therapy in reading and spelling personalized for your student's individual needs.  Sessions are 50 minutes and are online. Online sessions are advantageous as they eliminate the time needed for students to be driven to and from appointments and progress occurs as effectively as with in-person appointments.  

Attending School Meetings

​In addition to direct communication with the student's teacher and family on a frequent basis, I am available to attend online meetings to help facilitate the student's educational needs.

Individual Education Plans

With years of experience as both a general and special education teacher, I have written,  reviewed, and/or implemented numerous IEP's and 504 plans. I am available to help in navigating these processes.
